Design identity, governance, storage, compute, application and networking solutions.
Program: Cloud & DevOpsAzure Solutions Architect moves from operating and building on Azure to designing complete solutions. You learn to translate business requirements into architectures that balance security, resilience, performance and cost.
You practise choosing between services, designing identity and governance, planning data, compute and network layouts, and justifying trade-offs.
Who it's for: Experienced administrators, developers and engineers who want to design Azure architectures and lead technical decisions.
Prerequisites: Solid Azure experience, typically at Associate level (for example AZ-104 or AZ-204). Confirm current prerequisites for the Expert certification on Microsoft's site.
Organisations expect architects to weigh reliability, security, cost, performance and operations explicitly.
Multi-subscription environments with consistent policy are the norm for larger organisations.
Regional failures and cyber incidents have made disaster-recovery design a board-level concern.
Architects are increasingly asked to prepare data and infrastructure for AI workloads.
This class targets the design domains assessed by AZ-305. Combined with the qualifying Associate-level certification, it leads to the Azure Solutions Architect Expert credential.
