Program: Cloud & DevOpsAzure Administrator is the hands-on operations course. You learn to create, secure, monitor and maintain the resources an organisation runs in Azure: identities, storage, virtual machines, virtual networks and backups.
The emphasis is on doing the job: provisioning through the portal, CLI and templates, applying governance, and keeping workloads available and recoverable.
Who it's for: System and network administrators, help-desk professionals moving to cloud, and anyone responsible for running workloads in Azure.
Prerequisites: Working knowledge of operating systems, networking and virtualisation. AZ-900 is a helpful but optional first step.
Manual portal clicks are giving way to templates and scripts, so administrators who automate are in demand.
Tools such as Azure Arc bring servers outside Azure under one management plane, extending the administrator role.
Access decisions increasingly hinge on identity and conditional access rather than network location.
Policies, tagging and budgets are standard requirements in any well-run cloud environment.
The class is organised around the skills measured by the AZ-104 exam and pairs each topic with hands-on labs, which is how the exam and the job are both approached. Passing earns the Azure Administrator Associate certification.
